From the official Mati Klarwein site:
In an interview with Conny Lindström and Peter Holmlund, Mati mentions that he was working on a painting for a record cover to an album that was never finished, a collaboration between Jimi Hendrix and Gil Evans. "Unfortunately Jimi died during the recordings and it was never released".
